Core of The Dualers are the singers Si and Tyber Cranstoun – two
Brothers, who grew up with Ska, Reggae and Soul. In the 60ies their
father Bill Cranstoun with his Savoy sound system popularised Jamaican music in England. For many years Si and Tyber
as street musicians played as ‘The Dualers’ at shopping
malls all over south east England.
2004 they caused a little sensation: with their single ‘Kiss on the Lips’ The Dualers reached
number 21 of the UK charts – though they hadn’t any record deal. One year
later in 2005 The Dualers echoed this success and entered the charts
again with their single ‘Truly, Madly, Deeply’.
The album ‚The Melting Pot’
will be released on CD for the first time officially in Germany, Austria,
Switzerland, Belgium and Netherlands on September 26th via moanin’. A
long player ‘..full of catchy tunes. It is an intoxicating mix of ska,
reggae, rock steady and early reggae", the German online magazine allska
says. The album is listed in allska's "Best Of" list.
