Jamaican Jazz und handfesten Reggae-Grooves bringen Wood In Di Fire bei
ihren Live-Sessions die Dancehall zum Toben. Jetzt kommt ihr zweites
Album OFF THE HOOK. Was als Jam-Projekt von Musikern aus verschiedenen
Berliner Bands begann, hat sich nach fünf Jahren, einigen Touren und
Aufnahmen zur festen Band entwickelt. Doch der Session-Gedanke ist
immer noch lebendig: Die Bandmitglieder und Gäste bringen die
verschiedensten Einflüsse aus Reggae, Jazz, Trip Hop, Ska, Elektro und
Latin mit und sorgen damit immer wieder für überraschende Kicks. Dass
Wood In Di Fire es schaffen, das auf CD festzuhalten, wissen auch die
Kritiker zu würdigen: das erste Album "Que Pasa" kam in die
Kritiker-Top-Ten 2003 der "Riddim"!

THE HOOK wurde live in einer Scheune im Uckermärkischen Neu-Meichow
eingespielt. Zu Gast sind diesmal Susan Pawlak (velvet voice),
Longfingah (ragga-emphasis), Ann (times to remember) und Eric
(SambaRamba KlockTock).
OFF THE HOOK ist am 18.07.2005 bei
Moanin’/Rough Trade auf CD und Vinyl (CD Best.Nr. 341.0002.2, LP
Best.Nr. 341.0002.1) erschienen. Schon seit 14. Juni ist das Album bei
