Polen ist das neue Mekka für elektrolastige Popmusik mit 80er-Synthies
und dem Charme von
Singer-Songwriter-tum. Als Animationsfilmerin, Zeichnerin,
Multiinstrumentalistin und Sängerin steht Soniamiki inmitten einer
Szene aus jungen polnischen Künstlern. Ihr Musikprojekt entstand
ursprünglich für die Modenschau einer befreundeten Designerin. Artwork
und Fotos des
CD-Covers kommen ebenfalls von Freunden. Ihr Lebenspartner singt bei
der Post-Rockband L.Stadt, dessen "Death of a Surfer Girl" sie gleich
eine gekonnte Coverversion verpasst. Live spielt Soniamiki am liebsten
zu viert mit Schlagzeug, Gitarre, ihrem Computer und sie selbst am
Gesang und schönerweise auch am Bass.
Ihr Debüt-Album "7 pm"
erschien am 20.11.2009 auf moanin'/Al!ve und auf allen gängigen
Download-Plattformen wie iTunes, eMusic, finetunes, Napster, AOL, etc.
