Last week a few of our artist were busily recording new material for moanin’. Wood In Di Fire recorded the rhythm tracks of the new duet “Cold Out There” sung by Anne Beelitz and Longfingah. The video artist Max Ray from NYC will do a video for the song. The video shoot will start in march.
Soniamiki recorded a new song “Wiem Nie” too. The song will be released as online single via iTunes exclusively within the upcomming weeks.
The newcomers of Blendend made also their first recordings. The Berlin based band combines funky rhythms with club orientated sounds and elements of disco, d’n'b and hip hop. Most exciting are the simple but impressive German lyrics. The band recorded just 8 songs. They will now work on overdubs and mixing. At the moment we discuss if we could release a mini LP or a EP with the recordings soon.

Soniamiki shot a new video for her new song ‘Wiem Nie’. Her debut album ’7pm’ was released at moanin’ recently. The german mag intro compared the star of the polish electro pop scene with Emilie Simon, Kate Nash, La Roux and Notwist. The video is now available on YouTube in HD quality at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pq6Kdr9UlQ

Wood’s Drummer and Producer Lukas Leonhard has writen the new Urlaubs-riddim as basis for a duet of Wood’s well known vocal artists Anne-Kristin Beelitz and Longfingah. Both singers are writing the lyrics at the moment. In January and February 2011 Wood will make the recordings of the song at Luka’s Fire Tower Studio. A video artist from NYC, Max Ray (www.maxrayonline.com) will shoot a video for the Urlaubs-riddim till end of February. The video should be finished by march 2011.
